At the request of Thomas Jefferson, Ethan Gage and the Norwegian Magnus Bloodhammer go on a scouting mission across the American frontier in search of woolly mammoths and Indians. Unbeknownst to the president, the two are also looking for the mythical hammer of the Norse god Thor.
