Recently retired Kevin Gable tries to settle into life away from the police force. With the assistance of his wife Donna, Kevin tries his hand at a variety of new activities to occupy his time, but nothing quite seems to fit until an opportunity to come out of retirement raises its head. Meanwhile, Kevin's daughter, Kendra, quits school to support her supposed tech whiz boyfriend Chale, who has been secretly working to buy her an engagement ring.
