Timothy Driver, a prisoner in Arizona's Meza Azul penitentiary, takes control of the prison, holds the guards and workers hostage, and demands to see journalist Frank Corso. Driver ultimately uses Corso to escape undetected and the two men along with biker "Cutter" Kehoe go on a crazed cross-country ride.
