Alá mā’idat Dā‘ish : riwāyah
Yufa, a Yazidi girl in her twenties, narrates what she went through when ISIS entered her village in Sinjar, and the journey of captivity between Mosul and Raqqa. To combat her pain and headaches, Yufa recalls her past and her beautiful memories with her family and her beloved Sirwan, her bread that satisfies her loneliness. All the characters are fictional, but Zahraa Abdullah was inspired by the testimonies of survivors and extensive research on the subject.
