After her mother's death, twelve-year-old Evie moves from Dublin to Manhattan to spend the summer with her Uncle Scott. Although initially overwhelmed by the city and reluctant to consider making the move permanent, she's intrigued by her uncle's veterinary practice and discovers a new world--and a new self--when she starts working as an assistant in the clinic.
