When the district attorney's daughter is brutally murdered, her boyfriend is immediately arrested. It should be an open-and-shut case, except homicide detectives Ellie Macintosh and her partner Jason Santiago sense something off. Randy Lane maintains his innocence, and his prominent family is at the center of a much larger federal investigation which raises more questions than answers.
