Amanda and Marian Laton are identical twins. Amanda is beautiful but nasty, and Marian is nice but plain. When their father dies the two sisters go to live with their aunt on a Texas ranch. There they meet Chad Kinkaid. Chad starts to pursue Amanda but soon he begins to see beyond Marian's physical appearance and finds himself wanting her.
